Luxury is a concept that transcends all social conventions because it relates to freedom. The designer suggests a function, leaving the reality and experience to test its capabilities. Arts & Crafts deliberately gets rid of the superfluous, using the matter as its unique speaker.
In the concept of Arts & Crafts coexist, harmonising, chiaroscuro and antithetical volumes. Full and empty alternate in a clever game of contrasts that gives character to the relationship between space and design. The full is characterised by robust materiality of wood, gres porcelain and weathered steel.
Work surfaces are among the most strongly characterising items of Arts & Crafts project. Enhanced by the thickness, the particular
material of slabs of Laminam Fokos lead finish is evident in the contrast with the other materials. The result is of maximum aesthetic impact. But, in the kitchens, everything that affects beauty cannot ignore the specific function.
